I am going to explain, How
U1Receiver is going to work?
You imagine your existing mobile
as a U1Receiver.
We can split the happenings which
occur Before
you acquire U1Receiver and
After
you acquire U1Receiver. First,
let us see the happenings which occur before you buy U1Receiver.
Before:
You are walking into a Showroom
asking for U1Receiver after accepting the money they are giving you
U1Receiver. While giving the U1Receiver they are giving you, your
User Name and your password. The reason why I am telling you is for
instance, you are opening an account in an ICICI bank. Along with the
ATM card they would give you the PIN number. You shouldn’t give your
PIN number to anyone. In the same way you shouldn’t give the
U1Receiver’s User name and Password to anyone. After acquiring User
Name and Password you are walking into the nearby Net Café. And you
are logging into www.U1Receiver.com. That page would get downloaded.
What should you do after the page gets downloaded? If you are a
member you can log into it. And it would go into the secure site.
After it gets logged in, you can upload your songs in your CD to the
U1Receiver’s secure server database. Whatever be the format and
whatever be the song you can upload it. This would be safeguarded in
U1Receivers’ server. For example, You may be traveling, you may lose
your CD and nothing could be done about it. But if you have recorded
it in U1Receivers’ site, it would be totally safe. It has an
unlimited storage facility. In the same way like I am speaking, you
may speak and upload it. Once you have uploaded, you are starting
from the Internet cafe. For example, You are going to Besant Nagar
Beach or Mahabalipuram Beach. Now let us see the happenings which
occur after uploading in U1Receivers’ site is over.
After
:
Take a Demo
Now your handheld U1Receiver
could be operated just like a mobile phone. Your mobile phone would
pick the signal from the nearby tower. In the same way, your
U1Receiver once it gets tuned, in its crystal clear colour display you
will see options like Like whether you are going to listen to Radio or
listen to FM Radio or listen to voice mail or through voice phone
listen to songs transmitted from the station. All these options would
be displayed in a crystal clear colour display like that of a Samsung
mobile phone. Not only that you can either listen to your choice of
favourite songs which you have uploaded or you can listen to the songs
transmitted by the U1Receiver. It’s your choice. For instance, in
recent times Ilayaraja has released his Symphony. After buying its
original copy you have uploaded it in our server. Symphony CD is now
in your pocket as well as it is in your server too. It’s just an
exact replica. Once you tune your receiver you can look into its
short notes. You might have altered its name so that you can
understand. Whatever be the language this device would support. Such
a facility should have been selected by you in the U1Receiver. Now
Let us take Tamil Language as the language in U1Receiver. If he
clicks our choice and enters into our choice, there would be link
called Ilayaraja songs. If you click it, you would get the list of
Ilayaraja songs and the first lines would be visible and the names
which you gave would be present. Once you click that, sound would be
broadcasted. How that song gets broadcast is the technology behind
it. I will explain it to you.
Take a Demo
We stored it by sitting in an
Internet café in Mount Road. Didn’t we? At that moment itself, it
would have come to our server. For example you have deposited money
in HDFC’s Mount Road Branch. You can take money from HDFCs ATM in
Mahabalipuram. Can’t you? Yes, You can. How you take it? They have
networked it. If your account has money you can be in any corner of
the world but you can take money, in the same way our server supports
world wide. The server is in a LAN connection. Ours is a wireless
connection. Once you select a song in that server it comes to you
instantly. Once you request a song it reaches the nearby mobile phone
tower. That tower picks up the signal and sends it to the server. Once
it reaches the server for example, Mr. Ramesh requests a song. These
processes occur internally. The name and its request would be taken
care by the server. From there, it would pass the signal to the
mobile phone tower. And from the mobile phone tower, you will receive
it. These things would occur in a Fraction of a second. For
instance, once you insert your ATM card, you are typing the PIN
number, you get money immediately. In the same way you have given
songs to the server and only those songs would be visible in the
U1Receiver. You can select those visible songs.
You can listen to the songs which
you have uploaded or you can hear U1Receiver songs (i.e) The songs
recorded by us, after getting those songs rights. Next is the FM
Radio which you can listen any time. Next let us look into the
process of hearing through voice mail. In mobile after three
successive rings, if the call is not answered, it would be diverted to
the voice mail. You need to record it and store it. Let us see how
would you retrieve your voice mail in your mobile phone. You need to
dial 321 to listen to your voice mail, some providers might have
given you for free. But some others may charge you. Irrespective of
who calls you, inorder to hear your voice mail, you need to pay for
it. If you pay for that ID and convey that you are in a local town,
it would be charged as a local call.
For instance, those who run
magazines in foreign countries, writers or singers may have fans all
around the world. But that singer may not know that. He cannot be
giving the numbers personally to all the fans, its impractical but
through your system for all those people if you give this common
number ie. If we give an identification a caller irrespective of
wherever he may be, either germany or Japan or Antartica or in any
nook and corner of the world, there is a toll free number available.
Here in Netherlands there is 00800 and 0800, for which there is no
need for you to pay. If you contact this number and convey that I
listened to your song and it was wonderful. This message would
directly go to the server. The voice mail can be received from all
around the world, provided you have given them this number. All those
people can convey their greetings to you. If you want to greet
Ilayaraja you will login to Ilayaraja’s website and convey that I
listened to your symphony and it was great. This too is a similar
process and it is totally free. How this works is similar to that of
a voice mail. If your service provider is RPG, your voice mail would
be in RPG server. If your service provider is BPL, it would be in BPL
server. In the same way our voice mail would be in U1Receivers’
server.
Just for your understanding I
took the example of Mount Road/india. So please don’t mistake that
server is in Mount Road. It’s a secure server. It may be in
Australia or America or India or in Bangalore. What you need is
speed. And it would supply it. The messages sent comes to the
server. Let us see how you receive voice mail. For instance, you are
in Mahabalipuram, you are receiving a voice mail, then U1Receiver
would indicate it to you. Just like SMS intimation. So you can tune
and you can listen to the voice mail, it is as it is basis. But you
cannot answer them. For this mode of communication there is no need
of Internet. It works like an ATM. As I told you before, it works
once you upload your audio CD to the U1Receiver server. In this world
internet is a common place and it is simple. If we send a signal from
the U1Receiver, the tower picks it up and satisfies your need by
broadcast the song. For this transmission, we are using radio
frequency. The handheld receiver which we have uses CDMA technology,
its sound clarity would be excellent and its colour display would be
crystal clear. We can design the display in any way. Now you know,
how people transmit signals to Radio and FM.The local radio stations
would tell you a story that thousands of people are hearing their
transmission. This is an approximate value. We have website
knowledge and we have registered a domain in Yahoo’s server. We have
a space for us in the Internet. For instance, for a website like
musicmaharaja.com or raja.com we can easily track how many people used
it, from which country, the time and from which IP address. Once you
get this tracked information, we can clearly state the number of
people and from which page they accessed it. We have given a page for
you in U1Receivers’ website, a look into it will reveal that how many
times you have heard a song, how many times you have shared it and to
whom you have sent it ,would be clearly present in the website. As a
result you can easily understand every thing. If you already have a
mobile, you would know it. CD player, MP3, i-pod are also available
in the market, so you would know about it. You are buying an i-pod for
Rs. 20,000 – 40,000 and you have lost it. Nothing could be done once
you lose it. In the same way, based on USB provision there are lot of
walkmans available with the memory sticks. For example, you are using
network walkman and you have taken it to sea shore. You have lost it,
nothing could be done. But if our device is lost its price would be
definitely lower. Moreover, its loss wouldn’t be paramount. The
reason is, there is no memory at all. It is altogether safeguarded in
a secure server, so losing the device wouldn’t pose any big problem.
Once you lose the device you can walkin to the showroom and
de-activate it. Then you can buy a new device and activate it. For a
SIM card only one number would work. A number like 0009843123456
would be given to only one individual. No two persons can use the same
number. Once the device has been de-activated that device number
would lose its value. You may lose your SIM card but you have given
the number to every one or your SIM card gets damaged, what would you
do? The same principle you would follow, once you convey your
situation to the company, it would be corrected. You wouldn’t lose
your stored songs. We can convey it through a different example too.
Your ATM card gets broken, you would give the broken card to the bank
and buy a new one. Don’t you? In the same it wouldn’t affect the
U1Receiver too. Think in this way. Suppose if you lose your walkman,
Tape Recorder, Network walkman or Apple’s i-pod, nothing could be done
about it. You would loose the songs stored in it too.
If we invest what is our profit
margin? For example if we take Google search engine, it gets nearly a
billion hits per day. The world’s biggest corporations have
advertised in it. Then imagine how many hits would U1Receivers’ site
would get. Like google search engine, there are many search engines
available. But google is the best. But for U1Receiver there is only
one unique server and one unique site. Because as we are a monopoly
and no one else is in this business, everyone should come to our
website. Whatever be the users language, our device would support
it. Only Microsoft would have the knowledge about the number of hits
on its webpage which would be usually in billions. And they would
convey that so many billions of hits are occurring on their website so
if you advertise, it will reach billions. In our website the number
of hits would be unimaginable. The reason is, everyday you would be
updating it.
If they release a song in Tamil Nadu we would
acquire the audio rights and we would be transmitting it through our
U1Receiver to our customers. When we broadcast the song the crystal
clear display plays an important role before a song reaches you “This
song is sponsored by Master card, Visa Card, ICICI Bank, Citi Bank and
their logos and symbols would be visible in our crystal clear colour
display”. In the mean time the words which are uttered before the
song is broadcast would generate revenues. These advertisements
wouldn’t create any problems. They would be transferred only. At that
time, if the song is being listened by millions of people. These
advertisements would reach them instantly. For TV channels, there is
a lot of competition, we cannot guarantee that they are viewing this
channel in which our advertisements are shown. In the same way we
cannot guarantee they have tuned their radio to the same frequency in
which our advertisement is aired. But an advertisement in U1Receiver
would reach every one. Its design would be dependant on the local
economy. Whether we should issue this device for free or after giving
it for free through advertisements whether we can reclaim it or
selling this device and then reducing the advertisements or raising
the value of the device and removing the advertisements totally cannot
be decided now itself. In this way there are three types of
category. For instance, for a poor country the cost of the device
should be too low, whether advertisements are available or not. By
anaylyzing cost effect, we should reclaim our investment through the
advertising revenue and give the device for a low price or for free.
In Europe, there is an FM radio association. In Netherlands, there
are five FMs, all these stations are licensed by government and it has
invested in it. Receivers are available in all the super markets.
Like Garbage they have dumped it. For an example, through spending a
single Euro you can take it. The association brings it to the super
market, either the shop keeper sells it or keeps it for himself. It
would have only 5 stations. If we tune and listen a song you would
definitely reach one station. As it is in Netherlands, the radio
station would be paid taking into account the number of people
listening to it and its revenue would be depending on it. In this
way, they are conveying that they have given this receiver for free to
such a number of people and using that number they are charging for
the advertisements. For an example, we are giving it for free for the
people of Tamil Nadu. How would they listen to the songs? They would
be generating revenues to the Internet Cafés’ because we don’t know
how many people have internet access or not. They would go to the
Internet Café browse, secondly, they need to login to the U1Receivers’
website. Then only he can do his work. In our country there are 7
crore people, if 3 crore people are using it for a single day there
would be 3 crore hits on the web page, imagine what would be the
revenue through advertisements, if there are 3 crore hits. We have
given it for free for 3 crore people and 3 crore people have obtained
it and they have uploaded the songs. One is listening songs in
Kanyakumari and the other in Andhra. When that is the case; before a
song is broadcast if we say “This song is sponsored by” and we mention
a big company like AT&T or else this song sponsored by Annachi
Saravana Stores, imagine its miraculous reach. In this way through
advertisements we can increase our revenues. We are watching SUN TV
even for that we are paying the cable operator Rs. 150 don’t we? For
the people who invest in this project their business plan would differ
for different countries. In America, if we give it for free no one
would buy it. Because they are of the view that only through buying
it for money, it would be worthful. I would like to make a point that
people of different nationalities have different views. But the Logic
is the same. Finally I would like to proclaim that this entertainment
device is a technological advancement. It is a milestone, it’s an
achievement. Americans reached the moon, now they want to go to
Mars. They are conveying that they would travel beyond mars. Now,
from Gramaphone, we went to radio transistor, tape recorder, walkman.
From walkman we went for CD and then MP3, after that came, network
walkman. Next advancement is the Apples’ i-pod with a huge storage. A
storage capacity of 1 lakh songs. U1Receiver is an amalgamation of
all these devices. It would work like a TV as it receives
advertisements in its crystal clear display it would do the work of a
tape recorder as well as CD player and in some cases it would work
like a mobile too. So, it’s a combination of all the devices. Like
cloning we are taking the best from all those devices. We are
expecting business plan and indusrial investors, through god’s grace
we believe U1Receiver would be in your hands soon!
"God’s grace we believe U1Receiver
would be in your hands soon"

The way the UN Receiver communicates with the broadcasting station
is exactly the same way as the current mobile cellular phones do.
The central broadcasting station is connected via landlines (most
probably optic fibres) to transmission towers. The transmission
towers are located at various locations, may be at 10 km distance
from each other, and serving customers within 5 km radius of each
tower. There are preset control frequencies through which the towers
and the handset establish communication channels, and once this
is done, the transmission happens in full duplex mode on the chosen
frequencies.
SMS is indeed digital data being transmitted from the towers to
the handset. The UN Receiver modulates music into voice like data,
and transmitts using CDMA technology. And theres nothing new
about CDMA itself or the modulation and demodulation techniques
or frequency spectrum usage. How UN Receiver differs is the way
it applies known technologies for achieving a purpose that has not
been achieved so far.
- BBC uses FM and AM technologies to transmit their programs,
whereas the UN Receiver proposes to use CDMA.
- Whereas the people at BBC can only guess how many users are
tuned in, the administrative module of UN Receiver can indicate
the number of users at any point of time.
- The listeners of BBC cannot decide what they want to listen,
whereas the users of UN Receiver can.
